This second acetate was always thought to be 'I'll Never Stand In Your Way' and 'Casual Love' (or 'Casual Love Affair').

However, when it was discovered a few years ago, it turned out that the second song was 'It Wouldn't Be the Same (Without You)' not 'Casual Love' (or 'Casual Love Affair').

The song 'Casual Love Affair' (as well as being listed as 'Casual Love') was actually first mentioned as early as 1956 in magazines and newspapers. It was then later stated that the song wasn't called 'Casual Love' at all, but rather 'Careless Love'.

It is possible that this second acetate had been originally incorrectly listed as being 'I'll Never Stand In Your Way' / 'Casual Love' (or 'Careless Love') by someone hearing the lyrics "I wasted my love on a careless romance" (which is sung twice during the song) while listening to 'It Wouldn't Be The Same (Without You)', and then not quite catching the title. This could explain quite a lot!

The receipt for the acetate was published in Ger Rijff's book The Rock 'n' Roll Years, published by Elvis Unlimited, but it hasn't been verified as being real, and may be fake, as the price ($8.25) is wrong. It should be $3.98 for both sides, and not $4.00+ for each side! (see below).

This time it was Sam who was at the studio when Elvis came in for a second visit, and he also made a note that Elvis had a good "Ballad" voice.

In March of 2007, Sony decided to go through all of Elvis' masters. They retransferred everything and remastered all tracks including repairing as many clicks, pops, bad edits and dropouts as they could. They have used these newly mastered recordings on their new releases since 2007 including budget soundtracks, Legacy releases, the 30 disc Complete Elvis Presley Masters collection and the Franklin Mint package.
